Job Description
Ambashi Engineering & Management Inc. is seeking a motivated Construction Contract Administrator to support MTO and municipal infrastructure projects. The successful candidate will assist in administering construction contracts, monitoring site activities, ensuring compliance with OPSS and contract requirements, and supporting quality assurance and project documentation. Both experienced and entry-level candidates are encouraged to apply.
Responsibilities
- Administer construction contracts in accordance with MTO standards and consultant agreements
- Monitor construction progress, schedules, and contractor performance
- Identify and document deficiencies in accordance with OPSS and contract requirements
- Perform and/or coordinate QA/QC inspections and material testing
- Maintain accurate daily records, reports, and site documentation
- Review test results and assist with payment calculations
- Support change orders, claims, and contract documentation
- Ensure compliance with environmental, safety, and regulatory requirements
- Work collaboratively with project teams and support junior staff
Required Skills & Qualifications
- RCCA designation or Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) certification required; OACETT certification is an asset
- Minimum 2 years of experience preferred; entry-level candidates will be considered
- Knowledge of OPSS, OPSD, and MTO contract administration practices
- Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work in a team environment and provide guidance to junior staff
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities
- Proficiency in MS Office and construction-related software
- Valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle
- Willingness to travel and work in remote locations across Ontario
Experience Requirements
- 0–2 years of relevant experience (entry-level candidates encouraged)
- Experience on MTO or municipal projects is an asset
- Familiarity with QA/QC inspection and contract documentation is preferred
